ANAHEIM -- Angels second baseman Howard Kendrick left Tuesday's game against the Rangers in the fifth inning with a sprained left wrist after diving for a ground ball.
Kendrick went to his right on a ball hit by David Murphy, and his glove hand rolled over as he slid on the grass.
An Angels trainer and manager Mike Scioscia immediately ran out to check on the second baseman as he winced in pain.
Kendrick was replaced at second by Alexi Amarista.
Manager Mike Scioscia said Kendrick will not play the season finale on Wednesday.
