Willits, who is hitting .313 with the Bees this season, was added for depth.
"Some of our guys in the outfield have played a lot and we're going to rotate him in and see if we can get him some at-bats this weekend and get some guys off their feet," manager Mike Scioscia said.
Last season, Willits made the club out of Spring Training and responded by hitting .293 with 20 doubles and posted a .391 on-base percentage. Scioscia said Willits will also provide depth to the lineup.
"What Reggie did last year he showed he can hit one, two or nine," Scioscia said. "We'll see how it works in."
Brown's visit was short, just two days, but he collected his first Major League hit Thursday -- a two-out, two-run double in the ninth inning.
