KANSAS CITY -- Angels left-hander Sean Burnett had to leave Sunday's 5-2 win against the Royals with left forearm tightness. He'll be evaluated on Monday when the club returns to Southern California, and the hope is that Burnett suffered only minor irritation.

Burnett just returned from the disabled list on Tuesday after missing 22 games due to left forearm irritation.

"It's more frustrating than anything," Burnett said. "I was throwing the ball well. There are no answers yet, and hopefully [Monday] I'll feel better."

Burnett entered the game in the seventh inning and left after George Kottaras grounded out and Chris Getz beat out an infield single. Burnett slid at the bag while covering first on the Getz single, but the injury was not related to that.
