The Angels announced on Wednesday that they will have 11 non-roster pitchers and 16 position players invited to Major League camp for Spring Training, which opens with pitchers and catchers reporting on Feb. 17 in Tempe, Ariz.
The pitchers handed invitations to rub elbows with the big leaguers include right-handers Ryan Brasier, Travis Chick, Ryan Chaffee, Tyler Chatwood, Michael Kohn, Tommy Mendoza, Kevin Nabors and Francisco Rodriguez, along with southpaws Trevor Reckling, Will Smith and Andrew Taylor.
Highly regarded catching prospect Hank Conger will be joined by fellow receivers Anel de los Santos, Alberto Rosario and Brian Walker.
Infielders hoping to make an impression are Alexi Amarista, Ryan Mount, Efren Navarro, Abel Nieves, Gary Patchett, Andrew Romine, Hainley Statia and Nate Sutton.
Outfielders Cory Aldridge, Brad Coon, Jeremy Moore and Michael Ryan complete the list of non-roster invitees.
After the Feb. 17 reporting date for pitchers and catchers, the Angels will hold their first workout the following day. Position players report on Feb. 22 and engage in the first full-squad workout the next day.
The exhibition schedule opens on March 4 with the Chicago White Sox visiting Tempe Diablo Stadium at 2:05 p.m. PT.
